The Clock is Ticking!! Need Baby Makin' Secrets!

I can’t believe I’m so close… So close to taking the plunge. I’m ready, more ready than ever to try to join the mommy club. Things are falling into place better than I imagined. Don’t laugh, but I’ve had a countdown on my iPhone for a while. Counting down to the day my “baby makin machine” would turn “ON.” I remember looking at it when it was more than 100 days away. I’ve changed the date several times, but this time I think it’s sticking, and I’m finally only 32 days away… Ok, I’m going to just round down and say a MONTH! I’m so excited I’m literally thinking of making a paper chain.

Everything is falling into place too. I’m not a Suga Mama anymore! When I was in Chicago my husband got an interview and a JOB that he likes A LOT! I feel very blessed. The economy hit us pretty hard, but we’ve been blessed an able to rent out our condo for another year, and now this! I was ready to just go for it like NOW but we’ve agreed to stick with our September goal. But when I really think about it it’s like HOLY COW… Scary!! I’m excited, scared, and going into hyper-planning mode all at the same time!

I’m debating on all things pre-TTC, and my original goals and plans are all starting to change. I’m trying to decide if I still want to do a procreation vacation (aka baby-makin’ moon). Part of me does because it would be fun, but then part of me thinks I don’t care anymore, I just want to get this show on the road!! But then again I’ve talked about it and I think kicking it off in a fun way would be… Well, fun. And since I’ve talked about it for so long I kind of want to just do it the fun way like I planned. Oh, and can I just say I was looking at my Fertility Friend chart and it looks like I’ll be ovulating around the 1st of September, so who knows… Maybe I’ll get the first egg right away! What do you think? Baby-Makin Moon? Yay or nay? I'm also a little worried about over-planning and scaring my husband out of it. The goal is NOT to do that!!

Oh, and I know I’ve been a blogging slacker lately… At least for me. Blogher took a lot out of me. I’ll be doing more wrap ups on that later, but I’m hoping to get back into the routine of posting daily again! I’ve got a lot to say my (hopefully) LAST month pre-trying to be a mommy.

I’m looking up a lot of things about trying to conceive and so I have a question for you… Besides sex (obviously) if there was one thing that helped you get pregnant what do you think it was? I hear, laying down propped up at the hips for awhile helps. What else worked for you, or have you heard?

The Blogrollers Goodbye: New Sisters

It wasn’t until I had gotten out of the car, grabbed my things, and turned to say goodbye that I realized what had formed. Not just a friendship that will be lost in time… A friendship—I think, will last for a lifetime.

In a short week I met, got to know, and fell in love with three wonderful women, all from different backgrounds, all with amazing talents. I learned valuable lessons from each of them, and took advice I’ll never forget.

As I walked toward my blood family, I felt as though I was leaving another part of my family behind. I confided in them about things I’ve never told another friend. After a matter of hours we felt comfortable enough to tease, and joke with one another. After a matter of days we shared delicate stories and formed a bond I hope won’t be broken.

I learned a lot at Blogher ’09: Ways to turn my blog into a published book, and ways to better write the way I’m feeling. I learned about marketing and advertising, and spreading the word about your brand. But most of all I learned more about the importance of life and relationships.

My eyes watered as I saw the way each of these women shared the pictures of their families. I nearly cried as I heard them telling their children when they were coming home, or as I saw the thoughtfulness they possessed for them. I smiled as I listened to them brag about their talents and witty ways. I felt a sting of envy when I heard their children pour the words “I love you” through the phone into their mother’s ears… And I loved witnessing every moment of it.

They called me “Youngin’” and sometimes picked on my inexperience and innocence, and joked that they were old enough to be my mother. But they treated me like a peer and we learned from each other.

I scanned their brains, and listened to their life experiences so I could learn from them, and think of how I’ll handle the situation if I’m ever faced with similar tests.

As I turned to hug my overjoyed little sister, running to jump in my arms… I realized I had just hugged my new big sisters goodbye.

Spending nearly every waking moment with three other women for a week sounds like a challenge, but I loved it, and I couldn’t have chosen any other women I’d rather share that moment of my life with.—And hopefully, more precious moments in the future.

The Birth Stories and Bellybars: Blogher Road Trip

We are back on the road again. Yesterday was a blast, we ordered food and chatted about our lives. It was nice getting to know these ladies even more. We were quoting movies and laughing our heads off about wedding stories, the funniest thing is we were so loud. Hotel management came up to our room to tell us people were complaining we were too loud. I’m not sure why they couldn’t just call but whatever.

As we were falling asleep we got on the topic of worst fears. Mine, without a doubt being spiders, and MyBrownBaby feels the same. Wifey and Chatterbox have weird fears if you ask me. Chatterbox is afraid of mascots and people who don’t talk at haunted houses and fairs and Wifey is afraid of pigeons of all things! She even told me she almost left her kid in his stroller to be taken away by them when they got too close.
They’ve all been married longer than I have, and as they shared stories of their lives it made me realize just because you’re together longer doesn’t mean you’ll always get closer, it’s something I’ll be working at forever.

This morning we got to McDonalds right before 10:30 and we really wanted breakfast. Wifey ordered first and the people there switched the signs to the lunch menu before the rest of us ordered. I don’t really understand that--30 second after 10:30 it’s time for lunch. That’s way too early for lunch. They almost didn’t let us get breakfast but luckily they hooked us up with some biscuits.

After that and a few Zzzs on my part, I started asking them about their labor stories. All of them told me they were not playin’ and went with the epidural. Wifey had a couple of false alarms before the real thing, and the night she was going into labor she didn’t want to go to the hospital before she ate her Copelands for dinner. Chatterbox didn’t want to go until she was done watching Lost. She also said she went to an Italian restaurant that guaranteed the eggplant meal would put you into labor within 24 hours.—And it worked!! I’ll have to research this topic when I’m pregnant and see if there’s any place like this near me. You heard of anything like that?

Hearing their stories about being mothers makes me excited to be one. I in no way think it will be easy, but I am glad I’m going into it with my eyes wide open.
Oh, and you know how I’ve been taking prenatals? Well, I have for a couple of months because I heard it gives your body a chance to stock up on the nutrients you need before you get pregnant. Unfortunately I forgot to pack my vitamins for this trip, which isn’t a big deal since it’s just a week—But then I realized the Bellybars I’ve been eating are still giving me a lot of the vitamins in prenatal vitamins. I told you they were one of my sponsors, and if you’re following on Twitter you know I’ve been munching on the bars and chews this whole trip and I’ve been sharing them with the ladies I’m riding with.
I know some people at first may be thinking “isn’t that a pregnancy bar?” but it’s not! It’s a nutrition bar with vitamins important before, during and after pregnancy, and in my opinion they taste better than a lot of other snack bars, and it’s not like chocking down a huge vitamin everyday. So, if you’re pregnant, or like me and thinking of getting pregnant you should check these out! My favorite flavors are the citrus chews and the yogurt crunch bars (it’s in the blue box). I’ll be giving away some prize packs when I get back, and giving more details about these yummy snacks. Oh, and if you’re at Blogher come find me, I’m giving away some chocolate belly bars (among other things... Check this pile out I put together). As far as the blog conference, I am SO excited to meet all these women., we’re almost to Chicago so I’ll start to meet people today. I am a little worried I won’t know anyone else at the conference, or know the best way to make the most out of it, but I’m just excited to be here and learning as I go.

The mommy fact learned today: Switch boobs when you breastfeed, or pump out the other one after you feed from one to avoid uneven boob sizes. Believe it or not, I didn’t know that, though it makes sense.

The Last 32 Hours-- Blogher Road Trip

I'm not sure why but I sorta feel bad that I didn't update the past couple of days. I had a REALLY bad night the other night while I was packing for this trip. We really wanted Stromboli, and my husband was craving it all day, so I made enough for us to eat the night before my trip, and so he could eat some the next day as well. Considering the fact that I wanted to pack, and get other things organized before I left... I was in a hurry to make dinner. Well my hurried dinner turned into a ruined dinner because I turned the temperature up an extra 100 degrees and this was the outcome:I was devastated!--And burst into hysterical tears. No really, I couldn't stop. And my poor husband was mad too but as usual, my tears turn him into a consoler. So he scraped off the blackness and ate two pieces, all the while telling me it tasted great.--Great guy I know.

I decided to move on to something else and make my shirt for Blogher. Nothing special, just a shirt with my Twitter name on it to wear around one day. The front of my first shirt went on first and it looked great. I moved on to the same task on my second shirt... a black one, cute style, and what did I do?--I burnt it... And started crying again.

When I finally got the courage to finish the back of my first shirt, I accidentally ruined that too by burning off one of the letters and cried through the whole process. I know my poor husband must have been wondering what in the world was wrong with me, and about ready to start consoling and start yelling or something, but instead he laughed at me. I couldn't laugh then...And I still can't laugh, but I'm sure I will be able to one day. For a second I began to wonder if I was with-spawn, I mean seriously... I cry a lot, but not so much over little stuff.

I stayed up late packing, and almost overslept my alarm. I had to leave my house at 4am in order for me to make my 6:15 flight in San Antonio, and I made it perfect timing. Once I made it on the plane things started to get better.

My BFF greeted me and brought her cooking baby along with her. I LOVED seeing her tummy, and it's feeling more real now seeing it myself. We had a blast going to the mall, Babies R' Us, and visiting my favorite news station.Last night we went to The Blogrollers bon voyage party, and I met the people I've been blog stalking for months. They were as great as they are online, and just as fun in real life.

Last night I stayed up late organizing my stuff before crashing to sleep. Now... I'm on the road, blogging from the car now.
I've already been asking them a lot of questions about careers, and a little bit about raising kids. One thing I've learned from today: Pregnancy kills braincells... It's called "Momnesia." I'm not sure what my emotional breakdown was about earlier this week, but I'm doing much better now, and can't wait to learn more!

The Trip-- to Blogher '09

I'm about to embark on what may be one of the funnest trips of my life. As many of you know I won the 4th Wheel Contest with The Blogrollers and I'm heading to Atlanta tomorrow morning!! I'm leaving a day early so I can spend a day with my best friend, who is expecting her little one (the one who tested out the Intelligender for me!). We're hoping to spend the day catching up, and I just can't wait to see her tummy! She's about 19 weeks now and she says she has a little bump. Expect to see lots of pictures and possibly videos coming!

I've never been to BlogHer before so I'm not quite sure what to expect. I've been to several journalism conferences in the past but those were much more professional. This one should have a lot of parties, and get-togethers, as well as classes. Don't worry, I'll share all the good info I learn!

While the Blogrollers are hooking me up with a sweet ride (courtesy of Chevy), my ticket, and fun along the way, I also have my own amazing sponsors who are hooking me, and others up with cool stuff during the trip! You'll see me blogging about:
Conceive Online: Probably my newest favorite website. A GREAT resource for all things TTC. I'm one of their newest bloggers, and it's been fun sharing my thoughts there as well. They also have a great place on their site called MyConceive which has great forums, and places to get advice and connect with others TTC. Look for me to get some Conceive swag!
Skincare RX: A great site that makes dermatologist and spa-grade skincare products easy to access. I'll be trying out some of their stuff during the trip.
Dittany Baby: What a shop! They have some of the most beautiful, high-quality products I've seen so far. They sell adorable things for mommy and child, from nursing covers, to slings to leg warmers and lula covers, there's a cute color or style for everyone.
Bellybar: I can't begin to express how excited I am about these guys! I've been wanting to say something for awhile but I have been so busy and trying to get it organized. I was looking at different kinds of nutritious bars to bring on the trip and when I found them I freaked! This company specialized in products to use before, during and after pregnancy! How perfect is that for me? Sure... I could eat any kind of protein bar, but this one is yummy, and has some good natural prenatal nutrients. Find me to get a sample!
Kelloggs: Can you believe they hooked me up?! I am so excited to be munching on some of their 100 calorie packs on the trip... Lawd knows I get the munchies! I'll let you know what kind I'm eating, and if you're lucky, I'll share!
Poken Zoo: Also sent me a Poken... remember in my video I was asking what they were? I'll tell you more about this later but basically it's a REALLY cool social networking device!!

Like I said I'll be blogging more about these sponsors during my trip, as well as other stuff I get while I'm there and things I try with The Blogrollers.

Now my question for you... Are you going? If you are let me know, I'd love to meet up! Speaking of meeting up! If you are in the Atlanta area, we are having our "BlogHer or Bust Road Trip Bon Voyage Party" at 7:00pm on Tuesday July 21 at their favorite pizza joint, Blue Moon Pizza in Vinings. Come join us for a fun-filled evening of pizza, BlogRoller-tinis (I'll be drinking the virgin kind), and of course, PRIZES!! Leave a comment to get an official invite or click here. We'll also be streaming the party live if you can't make it.

It's funny but I'm probably just as excited or more just to be riding with these great women! They all work from home and have successful careers, and are moms. MyBrownBaby has three kids, Wifey has two and so does Chatterbox. And they've all written books!! ...I just am excited to pick their brains about being moms and doing it all! How do yall do it??!

AND... When I get back it'll almost be August which is just one month away from September--My tentative date for putting the Baby Makin' Machine in full service!! I told my BFF and she's excited.. We're hoping our first kid will be less than a year apart... BUT again... Not going to try to overly plan! I don't want to get my hopes up! I'll take it easy.

Question for you: A commenter told me that the thing she thinks made the most difference when TTC was position... What do you think what the thing that helped you best?

I'll leave you with a silly video my BFF and I made a couple of years ago. Oh man... What's to come?! Just to give a little background... We were vlogging before we knew what that meant, in this minute-long video we are trying to figure out what the glitch is in the corner of my computer screen.

The Baby Shower--Diaper Cake Tutorial!

The baby shower was a SUCCESS! Did I mention it was the first ever baby shower I hosted? I was stressed out to the nine because we had to plan it so soon. One of the planners is moving next month and we all had to plan around our vacations. Considering all of that I think it turned out really well! I'll add another post later with more info on the games we played, more pictures of friends and everything, but this post I wanted to dedicate to my gift to her... A diaper cake.

You may remember the first one I made... Lopsided. And the stand was pretty lame (actually I did cut it in a circle later I didn't hand it to her like that!). I think the problem I had was the fact that I stacked all of the diapers on one another and didn't have a solid base in between them. With this one I read a diaper cake tutorial online that helped. And I'm going to post my own version here for you all to see! I wanted to do a video blog but I was in too much of a hurry, so I hope this helps!
First, don't be like me. I went to Hobby Lobby and pranced around the ribbon section for a long time trying to decide which color I wanted. If you were on Twitter at that time you were probably one of the people who helped me-THANK YOU! My husband was waiting in the car and after (I'm embarrassed to say)... A half hour!! ..He came storming in looking for me! Luckily I had narrowed it down to this color.

Heidi (my friend) didn't want "pink" and the theme in her baby's room is "tropical sunset" so I went with orange ribbon. You'll see what this is for soon.

Next I bought flowers for the topper... Some people use stuffed animals, but I had a vision in mind and flowers fit into that better.
I found this for a dollar and thought it could make a nice touch. I didn't know how I'd fit it all in at the time but I just planned to figure it out from home.
Next I bought a tall (about a foot) cardboard cylinder (maybe 4-6in around) to use to make a stand. I also bought a big piece of cardboard (about $1.50) to use as the base.
Then finally, yes, I bought diapers. Some friends on Twitter told me the Pampers Swaddlers are best cause they're all white, but I think any kind works. Someone told me they've made one with cloth diapers, which would be cool but WAY more expensive! These kind were soft but a little pricier than the other disposables ($9.90 for a box of 40 sz1) I ended up having to send my husband out to buy another bag (and to be honest I'm surprised he found the right ones), but I only used about 10 out of the second bag... So about 50 for me, total.
Now to making it... First I rolled up all of the diapers. I bought a 200 box of clear headbands for $2. I rolled up the diapers. You can do it either way, but I try to keep the size with print on the inside.

I cut out circles for the base, I used a large dinner plate then a smaller salad plate and then a bowl for my sizes.
I covered the circles with tissue paper, so if it shows at all it's white.
I cut the cylinder thing into two diaper-height cylinders. Then I glued it onto the cardboard circles. I put the bottom and middle layer together first before adding the top, smallest circle.

After that I added more tissue paper around the edges of the circle so it could look pretty--I dunno, you don't have to do that. I also added some greenery to the smallest circle. Sorry I don't have pictures of that. I just used hot glue and scrunched it up, and glued it around the edges.

Then, I wrapped the diapers around the bottom layer (the bigger circle with the diaper-height cylinder in the middle). I did two layers, so it's thicker. I used a big rubberband to hold them all together... you need four hands to get it to stay, so hubby came to help me here.

On the middle level I did the same exact thing except just one layer of diapers around the middle cylinder. Same thing... Four hands to add the rubber band to hold it all. --At this point it may look lopsided and weird but done worry, trust me, read on!

Now you add the top layer--The smallest, bowl-sized circle. Here I used a smaller cardboard cylinder--An empty toilet paper roll was the perfect size, I didn't even have to cut it--and I wrapped a layer of diapers around it.

Then is the fun part!! Add the ribbon around each layer to cover up the rubber bands. Used hot glue just to close the ends of the ribbon together, you don't have to glue around the whole cake. I tried to hot glue each layer together near in the same spot so I could cover them. And then add flowers and go crazy! I cut some of the greenery around the flowers off in the beginning to add some flare underneath the diapers on the bottom and top layers, and I added some flowers to hide where I glued the ribbon ends together, and just glued them to sporadic parts of the diapercake to make it look nice. After adding the ribbon is when I really noticed it all coming together. I didn't even ask my husband what he thought before he noticed what I was doing and said "That looks really good Jenn!" It made my day! Since then I've been showing pictures to EVERYONE including YOU! So tell your friends! I'm really proud, and Heidi LOVED it! She can use the diapers if she wants but she said she never wants to take it apart, but keep it as a decoration in the nursery (which may be a good thing cause I went a little crazy with the glue in some spots).

I hope this little tutorial helps! I've never done a craft how-to before (maybe because I'm not crafty), but this was fun! Maybe it'll motivate me to do more! If you have questions feel free to ask me in the comments section! This was only my second one, but it was a HUGE improvement in my opinion!

Let me know what you think!

The Results!- More Giveaway Winners

I've been thinking of ways to keep myself occupied while I'm waiting for my September "baby makin'" goal to roll around, and I'm feeling a blog transformation coming on. Nothing too serious, but I think it will help.

You have no idea how many things I've been reading about fertility and getting ready to make a baby. I've also been getting quite a few products to help the process along, and I'm going to try to do a really good job of reviewing them so YOU know about it too! I figure this is where I am... I'm not a mommy blogger, I don't have a baby to try baby stuff with, and I'm not a mother, so I can't really try all that cool mommy stuff out there yet. At first it was a little frustrating and sometimes seemed lonely, but the more I'm online the more I realize I'm NOT alone, and there are a lot of people feeling how I'm feeling and asking the same questions I am. SO... I'm going to try to do a better job of reviewing things I'm trying. Don't worry... I'll be giving some stuff away to you to try too when I can!

I hope this will be fun. Don't worry... Not every post will be a review. That's not me. But every now and then I'll tell you about something I'm trying and why it could be helpful for you. Sound good? What do you think? Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of review blogs, but I think trying these things has become a part of who I am and I'm hoping it'll all flow naturally.

Anyway, on to other stuff... "Mothers Who Work" did an article about me. It was a fun interview, and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Some of you here have asked me what baby names I have picked out, and while I've posted an old list on here, the final girl name I leaked in that article! Let me know what you think of it!

I also am done playing Oprah for now. I know you're probably DYING to know who won right? The Distance Dilemma--Solved

Don't look back... Only forward. Those are the words that are playing on "repeat" in my mind as I think about my life and the way it's going, though sometimes I'm not sure which way is which.

I loved visiting with all of his family and we miss them so much. But it was also SO much fun to be a visitor. You know... Special treatment and all. Snoop was greeted with a nice big bone on our bed, and we both got treats too. I can imagine how fun it will be when trips to grandma's house are special for our children.

I thought I'd leave Utah yearning for more and dying to move back, but that's not the case. Coming back to Austin was coming Home for us, and it feels great.

Being in a new place--Though I've been there a year, is a good excuse to become a new person, reinvent and redefine oneself. I'm not sure what the new definition of "me" is... Blogger? Potential mother? But I know I have to keep moving forward.

As I leave one family behind I'm opening my arms to embrace a new one--One that's not quite formed, but it's coming together. I have two close friends having babies. As much as I wish that were me, I'm sincerely happy for them. I'm where I am for a reason, and I have to trust that everything will work out.

Before, I was thinking our kids would be missing out on so much if we lived away from family. But now I've realized there's family everywhere, though we're not always bound by blood.

The Pendulum Swings

Part of me wishes I had been blogging during this entire trip just so I could remember the way my mind is spinning from day to day.

Wednesday--Nearly halfway through my trip I was ecstatic...Thrilled... I had NEVER been so happy to go to the dentist for that second opinion and whatever drilling and pain medication I'd need done before attempting to procreate. I was ready! The essentials of my Baby Bucket List were complete and there was only one thing holding me back. I'm not going to say any names but it rhymes with "musband."

That was pretty much my overall feeling for the past moth or so...Until now. I felt little pricks of the adversary here and there, but today the opposition crashed into me like a wave.

I'm normally not the jealous type. I've never envied someone's job because I've always felt like I could work to get there myself. I've never wished I could travel more like _______ or that I had so and so's wardrobe. I've always been content and very aware of my blessings. ...But I do have a weakness lately--A sore spot--if bumped, turns me into a completely different person.

It's not something I can express in one simple sentence, it's a way of life I admire and want to achieve.--It's the full package.

We've come a long way since our beginning together. We couldn't afford a kitchen table when we got married so we used the largest cardboard box we could find and some fold-out camping chairs we got for our wedding. We were broke, but we loved it--Not so much the broke part, but being newlyweds. We mostly lived off spaghetti and Ramen noodles... And when we did eat out it was Sonic 5 for $5 on Monday nights and cheap Taco Tuesday. We didn't have friends who had much more than us--And kids weren't even a thought in our minds.

Now four years, four promotions, a condo, degree, and cross-country move later I'm wondering where all the time has gone, and why I am still struggling.

I cried one recent morning after witnessing the immense blessings of two of my friends. I know I'm blessed--I'm not trying to denLinky the wondrous ways the Lord has worked in my life.--But I'm torn with the desires of my heart and the desires of my mind.

I want a child--There's no doubt about that. But I feel like we can't because of money. Sure, we'd get by. But I don't know if I want to just get by. Is that even fair to my child?

What's worse--I'm afraid to tell my husband how I'm feeling because I know my worries would only amplify his. Oh, and that little September goal of ours... That would be out the window.

To start it all off...
27. ...Who could get this party started better than ElleBows and More!? Are you in love with butterflies? I know I am! And what little girl doesn't love them? (Ok, actually I think I have a friend who is terrified, but she's weird). All clips are made from quality ribbon and ends are heat sealed in order to prevent fraying. Every item is handmade in Lisa's clean, smoke free studio. Reading any good books? This next prize will help!
28. You've noticed the books on my bookshelf right? Yep, I'm reading two GREAT books right now to plan for pregnancy... The thing I DON'T have is a good bookmark to hold my spot. Well, so you don't run into that problem, Suzie from Suzie's Armoire has offered a beautifully unique bookmark for you! There are SO many cute ones to choose from! Butterflies, dolphins, cats, dinosaurs, frogs... The list goes on! It was hard for me to chose one to picture here but I have a thing for frogs so that's what you see! There's also a lot of vibrant colors to pick between, so let me know your favorite! Winner gets their choice! These bookmarks are designed with ~11" of seed beads in the middle to fit inside most book sizes!

Write love letters much?...
29. This is quite a step up from back in the say when you wrote "do you like me, (picture of a "circle") YES or NO"... But you're not required to use this stationary just for love letters, although it's so pretty, that's what I'd use them for. Wendy's Whimsical Designs is giving away one of these BEAUTIFUL monogrammed personalized stationary sets! They're made with Martha Stewart monogram stamps and Stampin up paper and cardstock. Her shop has SO much cute stuff I couldn't stop looking around!... Oh how I wish I was this crafty! But you--You can pretend to be with these! This comes in a set of 4 with envelopes and your choice in color and the letter. It also makes a great gift for teachers (although I'm not gonna lie, Id' keep it for myself!) Check out her site and let me know what color and letter you'd get!
-Commenter #217 wins these cute cards! But don't forget to read the rules at the bottom to know how to play!

Don't you just love stuffed animals? I know I do...
30. Jane at Janiexy hand makes adorable toys and I just LOVE her plushy animals! Featured here is Wilbur. Wilbur, the gray whale, often gets under estimated for his speed and outgoingness because of this size. You'll often find him challenging smaller fish to races, making fun of dolphins, and eating some In 'N Out - planktin style.
Pictured dark grey and cream with vertical stitching on belly.
Custom color requests are welcome for an additional $5 charge
Measurements (Approximate):
Length: 11"
Height: 4.5"
She has other cute stuffed animals so let me know your favorite one!

I've been wanting to feature a fun bath item for some time so this next product is right up every lady's ally!
31. Choose your fortune with AJ Sweet Soap! I know these look good enough to eat, and I'm sure they also smell that way too! But it's actually one of the most creative bath accessories I've seen! Denise's fortune cookie soaps are adorable - and you will love that you can customize these any way you choose! Not only choose the fragrance for the cookies (Almond Biscotti is delicious with these!) but choose the colors as well!
You'll receive 12 "cookie" soaps in a decorative takeout container. Great gift idea for yourself or someone special. These also make wonderful party favors - there's so much you can do with these to add that special touch to your occasion! Check out her shop and let me know which fragrances and colors you like! There's sooo many to choose from! And it doesn't just stop there... Her shop has SOOO much yummy bath stuff you've just gotta check out! She's also @ajsweetsoap on twitter and her blog is here.

Hey girl what's yo sign?
32. I use to REALLY want my kid(s) to be a Capricorn, but now I don't care as much... Just get me a healthy baby!!... But, I must say, I'm still very proud to be a Capricorn myself!--So when I saw this light switch cover I about died! Krystal from Rathina Decore Switch Plates has something for every room of the house! Not into signs yourself? That's ok! She has different styles, colors, and personalities from cats, bears, dogs, cupcakes and turtles, to flowers and fruit! Each switch plate is handmade by myself, using a decoupage technique with fabric. I take great care and pride in my work so that each switch plate is perfect. Single plates measure 2 3/4" by 4 1/2". Double switchplates measure 4 1/2" by 4 1/2". Screws are included. To install, simply unscrew old plate, and screw in new plate. Check out her site and let me know which one you'd want! Winner gets their choice!

Moving right along to something I treasure...

33. Dark Wolf Trading Co. creates the most beautiful handmade pieces of art. I found @darkwolftrading through Twitter and fell in love. One thing I really love is their leather bound journals and books. If you're a sketcher, or a big writer like I am--Or a big blogger like I've become you'll probably appreciate this like I do. I LOVE to jot down my thoughts when I'm on the go. Sure, I have a voice recorder, and an iPhone where I can electronically jot down my thoughts, but there's something beautiful about printing it in my own hand writing, and being able to flip through it later. Having a special place for those thoughts, or dreams, or whatever you choose, is important in my book.
This is a handmade leather bound journal featuring a wraparound thong. The leather used is suede deerskin. The journal is made up of four sets of 12 pages each for a total of 48 usable pages. The pages measure 5.5" x 8.5" and, when closed, the journal measures about 6" x 10". Paper used is plain white paper.
--Lucky commenter #491 wins this lovely prize! Be sure to read the rules at the bottom to know how to play!

I about flipped out when I found out about this next sponsor too!
34. It all started when I saw @ModMomME on Twitter. Kristen from Mod MomMe has SO many adorable things for a mod mom, but the best thing about it is there's lots of stuff for future mama's too! Like this Diaper bag Keychain for example! These adorable bags are Kristen's own creation and are exclusively at mod momME. As a mother of 2 little ones still in diapers, she says this bag is a must have accessory. She's run into problems before at the doctor's office--Not being able to throw away diapers there! She's been required to place the dirty diaper in a bag and take it home to dispose of it. This means you will have to depend on the doctor's office to supply you with a plastic bag or you will have to come prepared with them yourself. Dispose a Diaper Bag © key chains are very practical, convenient, and stylish too.
BUT what do I see when I see this? I poop bag for Snoop! When I'm walking him I'm always trying to figure out where to put the plastic bags I pick up his poop with... These cute things hold about 15 small plastic trash bags and they're easy to hook on a dog leash too!
So there you have it... Good for dog parents and human parents too!
She has TONS of colors to choose from and is open to your own idea for fabric too! Check out her site and let me know which one you'd want! The winner gets their choice! Check out her cute blog too!
--Commenter #543 wins! But remember to check out the rules below to know how to play! (If we fly past the winner in this contest too, there's another chance to win one of these here).

You know the saying.. "If mommy ain't happy..."
35. The same concept rings true to this sign which caught my eye. This is by Rebekah from Little Love Letters. Who makes all of these cute signs herself. What mom doesn't deserve this sign? It measures 8x8 and is hung with several lines of hemp cord. It's painted black with beige vinyl lettering and sanded on the edges for a distressed look. A matte finish is applied to the board after paint and lettering is applied, to ensure longevity.
Not a mom yet? Don't worry! I've got something up my sleeve for you... This adorable family sign! 10x10 sign featuring the "definition" of family. I came up with these definitions with a little help from friends, family and my little girl. I really think they are universal! This sign can be custom-painted to match your decor! The sample is hung with matching ribbon, although I can also hang it with raffia or a saw tooth hanger - your choice. The winner can pick which one they want, or if they want just the vinyl "family" saying for the wall, that works too!
So check out her site and see what else you like and let me know!
--Commenter #620 wins! Read the rules at the bottom to see how to play!

Another one of my favorites...
36. You know how I love purses! So when Liz from Peanut Babies and LovingMom2Boys told me that she makes tote bags I got all excited again! Yea... I know you ladies like these things too! And I especially love things that work for Future Mama's too... Which this does! Diaper bag... Sure... But it also looks like a beach bag, and cute purse too! This is a fun and functional medium tote bag. Made with only light interfacing this is the perfect bag for just about anywhere.
Constructed of 100%, using fabric from Amy Butler's Daisy Chain collection. The bag measures 15" wide, 10 1/2" tall, and 4" deep, with 25" handles (11" drop). Includes a large interior pocket. The super soft construction of this bag makes it perfect not only for every day use, but is great for the traveler as well. Folded up it is perfect for packing in a suitcase without using a lot of precious space.
The cool thing is she says she'll custom make it for you! The winner will be able to select from a variety of fabrics, and the bag will be made to order. Sweet, no?! So check out her site and let me know what you like!
--Commenter #708 wins this awesome bag! -- Read the rules to know how to play!

And last but not least, I had to bring it home for the cute babies.
37. Want to have something cute for your baby while also helping the environment? Organic Beginnings may be just what you're looking for! From what I hear it can be difficult to find eco-friendly clothing for babies. Whether you're a pro at it already or looking to start now, this is a great place to look! The fabrics she uses are made from resources grown and/or produced without the use of man-made pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers--Only natural fertilizers and pest control measures are used.
The winner of this prize will get:
2 onesies- 1 regular and 1kimono styles
1 pair of pants
1 hat

1 bamboo t shirt

Cute wardrobe to start off with right?-- Or a great gift for an expecting friend! It's an $85 value! Check out the site and tell me what you like about it and what styles your like!
And the final winner of my 400th follower LIVE giveaway is commenter #808

The 400th Follower Giveaway Part 5

My vacation is still going well! A big thanks to those who have been asking. I know my husband is wishing I didn't bring my computer right about now, and I'm surprised with how much work goes into writing all of these features! Yikes! ...But it's fun, and I'm so happy to see you're all enjoying it!

Before you get all sad thinking this is the last giveaway I'm holding... Hold your tears... I've decided I'm going to do one more after this... This evening, another LIVE giveaway! The last one was so fun and I was expecting it to last a week or so and so many people missed it cause it went so fast! SO... I'm planning on doing another LIVE GIVEAWAY tonight at 7pm MST. ...Be there (here) or be square!... Although my giveaways are open to enter through next week tonight will be the finale of me posting them!

I'm still trying to round up a few more sponsors for it to end with a BANG, but I also wanted to do one more traditional giveaway for those of you who are traditional. So, on to the tradition...

Learning is fun right?--Sure, but making it a game can make it REAL fun.
23. That's exactly what Emily at Second Story Window has in mind when she's creating games for kids. They are teachers designing unique, colorful, and exciting activities for teachers, parents, homeschoolers, and most importantly, kids. All of their games are in the form of PDF files which makes it wonderful because you can get it right away! I browsed through her site and spotted this cute rhyming game to play cops and robbers... What kid wouldn't think that's a fun way to learn to rhyme? But there are LOTS more games! And the winner of this prize gets a $20 gift card to the shop! So check it out and let me know which games you'd pick!

Ok, I'm really trying not to be bias, and it could be my baby fever talking, but this next prize is SOOOOO cute!
24. You love little babies in Swaddles right? Oh man I know I do... They look like little baby burritos! Well, now you can make your own baby burrito at home (or help your friend make one) cause Loving Baby Inc. Is giving you the choice of your very own swaddle blanket!.. The next item up for grabs is something I SO wish I was winning, cause seriously I'm going to buy some...
25. Menstrual Beads from Doulahara's Etsy Shop. ...And before you look at me on the other side of the screen all strange (yes I get that reaction when people read the name of this prize) hear me out! Ever lose track of where you are in your cycle, want an easy way to remember when you're fertile so you DON'T do it on that day... or so you DO cause you wanna make a baby? Well, this is a unique and natural way to keep track! Here's how they work...
It's really simple! Every day, you move the charm over by one bead on the strand, beginning with the first day of your period.
-The strand of beads begins with one bead, that represents the day your period begins. There is a low likelihood of becoming pregnant on this day.
-The next 6 beads represent the infertile days of menstruation. There is a low likelihood of becoming pregnant on these days.
-The next 12 beads represent days when you are very likely to become pregnant if you have unprotected sex.
-The final 13 beads represent days when there is a low likelihood of becoming pregnant.
-In this final section of 13 beads, the 8th one represents the 26th day of your cycle--if your period ends before reaching this bead more than once in a year, you may not be a good candidate for this method of fertility awareness.
Note--These are set to work for women who have cycles between 26-32 days. So check out her site and let me know what other cool stuff you find!

And last but not least in my LAST "traditional" giveaway post for my 400th Follower Giveaway... Something for Jr.
26. I can't help but think of my puppy when I see things like these, but I'm so happy to know that chew-toy-like things don't go out of style just cause you have a human baby! Ok, I'm kidding, but really... I know from my younger siblings and working in daycare that teething can be a beast! Well, Krista from Discovery Toys is coming to the rescue with this prize-- A Yummy Teether. This prize with help your little one with those little pains coming through the gums! It's five teethers in one that will encourage sensory exploration as it soothes and comforts your teething tot. Stimulate baby's gums and ease the pressure that builds as teeth begin to appear. Five uniquely textured heads and light scent provide a range of sensations. 4" (10cm) long. Appropriate from Birth-Toddler.

Does your child (or do you even) need some motivation to get in the tub?...
17. Wet Giggles is getting your little one some FUN incentive to get in the tub! When I was little I LOVED having my rubber duckie in the tub with me while i took a bath... that and Barbies. It was a strange combination I know. But it still wasn't always motivation enough to remember to use soap (except for when I was brushing Barbie's hair). But now THIS product will get your kid wanting to use soap with or without a Barbie! It has a cute little toy at the top--And soap with a manicure brush inside at the bottom. It's handmade with natural glycerin, each bar is made one at time with essential oils and shea butter. They all have different scents and animals on the top so tell me your favorite as one of your comments so I know what you like!!- Mine is one of the duckies for sure!
--Commenter #55 wins. But read the rules at the bottom to know how to play!

Ok I've told you about how I'm OBSESSED with Disney right? I love dreaming of being a princess, and I love to read. Well, this next prize puts two things together for your kid...
18. Custom by Michelle is giving one winner ANY custom book of your choice! In your personalized book, your child's name would be used along with names of her friends or playmates. This is an ideal gift for children, as it is both fun and educational. Win, and the story you choose will be personalized and start off your child's dream to become whatever they want! I really liked seeing this ballerina one because not only do they have a white girl version... They have a black girl version, cool huh? Personalized storybooks make a perfect gift, for birthdays, holidays or just because. Books educate, inspire imagination and build self esteem. Their personalized books will become cherished keepsakes and saved forever by your children. The children you love will be thrilled to see their own name in these stories. Perosonalized books make your child the STAR of every story. Each of these wonderful stories includes a child's name, hometown, friends and family in every story.
Whether your child is in sports, or loves dinosaurs, each book teaches principles and values. They will enjoy this great keepsake for years to come.

So check it out and let me know what story one of your kids would like. They have TONS to choose from, for boys and girls, educational books, religious books... The list goes on!
--Commenter #123 wins this prize. But read the rules at the bottom to know how to play!

Need some art to spice up your kid's room? Look no more!...
19. Baby Chick Designs has adorable artwork for every room in the home! I especially love their Barnyard Babies Collection which has a cute little somethin' somethin' for all kids and babies. I LOVE baby chicks. This design was created and copyrighted under the artist’s name, Harriet Babchick, owner of Baby Chick Designs, and I think it's absolutely adorable! But don't take my word for it... Check out there other pictures, I'm sure there's something there that you like and could see in your home. They're especially perfect for a nursery, playroom or bedroom. And if you don't have a baby yet, think of it this way--I love visiting places that have cute things to look at in the bathroom. Check it out! All of these photos are on canvas, which is a beautiful texture (I have some photos in my house like this). And you can get a frame for them at many art stores! This next one is for those lovely moms-to-be, and preggo moms!
21. Janiene, from Shrinkx is giving away a post-natal hip belt! Oh yea! When I first heard about this I about fell out of my seat! Want those hips you had before pregnancy well read this description to know how it works: The hormone Relaxin is released throughout the body during pregnancy. Its purpose is to allow the ligaments, joints, and connective tissue to stretch and expand, enabling the baby to more easily pass through the birth canal.

This hormone remains in the system for up to six weeks, (sometimes longer in breast feeding mothers,) which would allow time to reverse the expanding process.
By wearing the Shrinkx belt, the hips have constant, even pressure, gently moving them back to the pre-pregnancy size or even smaller! As the hormone is leaving the system, the ligaments begin to strengthen and stabilize in the set position.

Sweet right?--Yea, that's what I thought! And it's a $75 value! The winner of this gets a shrink belt in their size! And let me know how it works cause I'm for sure gonna want one of these after I have a baby! Hmm... Maybe I'll have my BFF be a guinea once again and try this for me!

I'm not sure why but I'm OBSESSED with diaper bags. I don't even have a kid but I LOVE them! I think it's because they can be like big purses that hold all sorts of fun stuff. Well if you're like me, or actually need a tote or diaper bag, listen up...
