Pregnant? I got you. Trying to Conceive? I got you! Breastfeeding/ Got a new baby? I got you too! Ok... Well, don't thank me, thank Mommy Bound. It's a new online shop specializing in the needs for women in all stages of "mommyhood." From ovulation kits and Pre-Seed to pregnancy tests, to herbal teas, to nursing pads, it's a one stop shop for your whole journey!
They sent me some anti-nausea treats to try so I gobbled up some Preggie Pops and tried a sea band. There are a couple of tips I have about Preggie Pops: 1. When you feel nausea coming on, pop one in! I for awhile kept trying to save and "savor" them because I was worried I'd run out before my morning sickness got REALLY bad. In the process Snoop ate a few and I ended up eating a few others once my morning sickness was gone just as a sweet snack (hey, I'm still pregnant!) And 2. Be careful what flavors you eat when. I LOVED the raspberry but once I ate it just at the wrong time and it made me feel way worse. After that I tried to stick with the lemon/ ginger flavors (by the way I wasn't ever a ginger fan but those are yummy).
But like I said earlier, if you're not pregnant yet and don't need Preggie Pops, Mommy Bound still has lots of stuff for other women!

Here's how they got started:
"The idea for MommyBound.com came about when two employees of 513 Ventures became pregnant and started discussing products they have used or heard about. After some discussion, they both agreed that there should be a place online, that women can order everything they need, from pre-conception to nursing. Thus MommyBound.com was born.
Since each woman had a different experience on her journey to motherhood, they were able to bring together a wide variety of diverse products. MommyBound.com has items used by each woman from her journey to becoming pregnant, all the way to postpartum and nursing."
Mommy Bound was nice enough to offer a $25 gift certificate to their store for one of my readers for my Full Term of Giveaways event!

ReplyDeleteI loved the preggie pops! I used them all the time with my first pregnancy. I am pregnant again for the second time and am hoping I don't get as sick as I did with my first. If I won I would want to buy everything!, but mostly I think I would go for the preggie pops because they are so yummy!

Tip: buy the lilypadz nursing pads that are re-usable. With my first baby I was constantly using the disposable nursing pads and had to buy them non stop. I wish I would have purchased the re-usable to save money. I will probably purchase them with my next baby.
ReplyDeleteHere's my tip Don't buy nursing pads.. seriously. you don't need them. they are so ugly and so unatractive. I used them with my first. ok here's the tip. when you start to nurse or feel the letdown, (if your nursing, take the elbow or the arm and just press on your boob that is not being nursed. it will stop the let down and you will not leak, you have to press pretty hard, but it works, have done it 6 times. promise.

pregnancy tip: don't spend money on creams to avoid stretch marks: your skin will either get them or it won't. consider getting support hose for the swollen feet that will inevitably happen though, b/c if they are swollen for too long you develop marks in the skin and THOSE are preventable with support hose.
