Those are just another one of the many "gifts" of pregnancy. If you've ever been vain, then this is one sure way to rid you of any of those emotions. Your body bends, twists, colors, etc. in so many ways you can (and never) imagine, but it is all worth it. Good thing the summer is coming around so you can wear some cute sandals.
I can totally relate! I've had three pregnancies and three sets of cankles so hideous that strangers gasped and pointed. But I agree with the other commenters - it's a small price to pay. :)
Yep that is about when I started to get them too. I tried drinking A LOT of water and that helped for a while but alas they are back again with a vengeance. So sorry!
I remember those days with my last baby especially. It seemed like summer started in March LOL! I didn't give birth until July and can remember going to the store and standing in the freezer section. No I wasn't shopping just cooling off.
3 years later is was so worth it. It will get better!
Oh, you poor thing! I hate to be all preachy and mama-fied, but have you been resting and putting your feet up young lady? Have you been drinking enough water? You know I only nag you because I care. (File that one in your mental rolodex, you'll need it in the future!) I'm really enjoying following along on your journey. It's been fun thus far! I hope you'll stop by my blog and link your post up too. I swear it's not a long walk! Have a great day FutureMama.
I remember those times. I wore flip flops with my business suits all through the winter because my feet were so swollen. Good times. All worth it in the end.

ReplyDeleteThey will be gone before you know it! They don't look that bad!!!
ReplyDeleteSoon you wont even remember them :)

ReplyDeleteYour poor ankles!!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first pregnancy that I have completely avoided any swelling at all (I'm due in May). But I do remember what it feels like to have cankles!
Happy WW!
Bless your heart! They really will get better!
ReplyDeleteTotally temporary!!!!

ReplyDeleteHang in there girl, i hope they don't get any bigger!
Yikes.
ReplyDeleteAw poor ankles - keep your legs propped up as often as you can, hopefully that helps them out.
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing :( Mine looked the same with my first pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good day!

Oh man, your ankles look like my feet did. They were SO swollen with this last pregnancy of mine. Hope you're not too uncomforatble. It's NO fun!

Lol! The title pulled me in. I frequently have cankles and I'm not even pregnant. Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteOh I remember those cankles! I have a picture too! Maybe I should go back and post it one day for a good laugh!
ReplyDeleteNo worries, they'll go away!
Happy WW! I have a linky up too if you are interested.
I've never heard to this. On my way to Google. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteI remember those times. I wore flip flops with my business suits all through the winter because my feet were so swollen. Good times. All worth it in the end.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Just watch your salt intake, elevate your feet and drink plenty of fluids. The swelling should go down. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW! Cankles don't sound fun!
ReplyDeleteYikes! I hate that stage--I hope it goes quickly. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteYep!! Looks about right!! It gets better. We all promise :)
ReplyDeleteoooh that looks painful! I guess that's what I have to look forward to :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you weren't kidding. Does it hurt?
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you have a reason for them! After delivery my feet swelled up so much that it seriously looked like my thigh ate my ankle and foot!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! I don't feel so alone now. Maybe our cankles could get together and have a dinner party.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from SITS. Hope they get better for you! Have a good weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
ReplyDeleteThey will shrink back to size! :-) Happy WW!
