People joked with me before having my daughter and said she wouldn't get to wear all the clothes I was getting for her. Little did they know me! Lil' J has a new outfit on every day, and sometimes we do outfit changes midday, just because. We're getting use out of these clothes, that's for sure!
Yesterday evening I took her out in the front yard and snapped a few photos in one of our favorite tutus.
I make a lot of her tutus myself, but I can't make them this cute, filled with the bright adorable little pom poms inside (so she can't eat them), and a bow facing correctly. This one is by Cutie Pa Tutus and it was specially made for her. The Ladybug theme goes perfect with her quilt, made by Lil' J's great-grandma, and her nickname.
Cutie Pa Tutus also recently launched their new adorable pa tutu onesies line with bling like this one, and they're just as affordable as their tutus. You can also get 20% off right now through the 15th by using the code: "babymakin".So here we were, my daughter in I. Lying on the grass, and playing. The sun was setting so the lighting was great, and I snapped a photo capturing this beautiful moment between my daughter and I. My eyes teared and my heart swelled when I looked down at my camera display showing my sweet little girl.
It blows my mind how fast my she is growing, and how much time we have yet to experience together, I pray, in this life, and know in the life to come.
I've always heard people say children are a blessing but I didn't realize exactly what they meant until I had my own.
I am so blessed. I'm living the dream.
Everyone who comments on this post before October 14th at 11:59pm will be entered to win a pa tutu of choice from Cutie Pa Tutu. For an extra entry follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.
*Thanks Cutie Pa Tutu for sponsoring the review/giveaway!
I love the picture at sunset! So beautiful! I can't wait until baby Claire and I get past this newborn adjustment phase and can play like that!
ReplyDeleteShe is a doll! I love little girls in tutu's - super cute!
ReplyDeleteYes, children are a blessing. They can make you see the more important things in life and change your world for the better.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I actually took Clara out back yesterday to take pics of her in a tutu that I had made. :D. I haven't bought any yet, and have only made one, but it turned out pretty cute. The pom poms are really easy to add, I added rosebuds to Clara's with a hot glue gun, I'm sure you could do the same with the little pom poms. :D
ReplyDeleteKeep the photos of Little J Coming.. Makes my Day!!! awww.. she's so cute. Now I wanna go play dress up with my Edencakes!!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see my niece in one of these! My sister is a tomboy, but she's learning to be a girly girl as mommy to her sweet daughter.
ReplyDeleteI follow cutiepatutus on twitter now! (I'm @ABCmrs).

I love the tutu's! I'm finding out Monday if I'm having a boy or a girl, so hopefully a tutu will be useful! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how in love you are with your baby girl. They truly are a blessing.
ReplyDeleteAw.. What a wonderful post! She looks soo adorable, and like she really does enjoy all the girlie-ness! :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous babe. I have a 9 week old too, and she loves tutus and everything pink..cute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute and I love the tutus. Hope the cloth diapering is going well!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, she is so cute!!! I just love her little chubby cheeks!=) My little one is almost 3 weeks now...so hard to believe! I look forward to putting her in some of the cute outfits we have. Right now, she's still so little the only thing that really fits is her gowns and the two preemie dresses that I have for her!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had another little girl to dress up! She's so precious! Not that I don't LOVE the boy I have, but the clothes are a little mundane.
ReplyDeleteHey, look! This is a giveaway post! You shouldn't try to trick people like that. I might not have noticed. (Guess that's the point, huh? I like it. I may do that someday when I can be assured that enough people are reading my post that somebody might actually comment. LOL)

The pa tutus are sooo cute but they don't compare the the gorgeous baby modeling them! And your camera takes the best pictures. A winning combo :)
ReplyDeleteI love my little blessings!
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would be the kind of mom who dresses her baby and snaps pictures because I am not a girlie girl.. but I am! I even went out and bought a new camera to get better shots! Lil J is almost the same age as my girl so I love checking out your pictures! She is lifting her head so high!! Also loved the homemade tutus and made myself a halloween one! Thanks for the tips!

ReplyDeleteToo adorable. She actually looks like she was enjoying the photo shoot. She is always smiling and seems like such a happy baby. You know, I've always wanted boys but now you have me reconsidering my long standing wish :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a baby I got a rash and my mom took me to the doctor. He asked how many baths she was giving me a day. Three. It was like I was a doll. She would totally get where you were coming from.
